* Daily schedule and activities not in any particular order and may vary due to weather, availability and group input during the trip.

Sunday
Arrive on the island, where you will be picked up at either the local airport or ferry terminal and shuttled to your home for the next five nights - Lakedale Resort. The resort is lovely and has many amenities to keep you busy or relaxed throughout your stay. Once everyone has arrived, we will all get together for a social meet and greet and a tour of the island. This will give the group a chance to become acquainted. We will have afternoon yoga practice and return to the resort before heading off to dinner at a wonderful local restaurant.

Monday
We head out early to our yoga studio (a short drive) for morning practice and then return to the resort for an extended continental breakfast. After breakfast, we will have time to shower and gather whatever we need for the day. We will head out in search of our resident killer whales by driving and walking along the west side of the island and visiting our local whale watch park and public beaches. After having lunch in town, we will visit quaint Pelindaba Lavender Farm followed by a drive around the island. (We will hire a local shuttle service or private van rental daily for getting to and from all of our activities). Late afternoon we return to our lodge, where you can relax, have a glass of wine, swim in the lake, fish or initiate a game of volleyball before group dinner.

Tuesday
Morning practice followed by breakfast at the lodge. Today we meet our kayak guide at an intimate location on the northwest side of the island. After we get fitted with our gear and complete a brief lesson, we paddle off from shore for a guided, safe and extremely fun tour through the calm waters that we have gazed at since our arrival. Kayaking allows us to get a little more up close and personal with the rocky shoreline and marine life than we would be able to aboard a powerboat due to the tides and currents. We will stop at a cove or a pebble beach for lunch, etc. We will shuttle back to the lodge and prepare for our dinner at another great local restaurant where we can share the day's events.

Wednesday
Depending on group input we may opt for a morning pilates class at a different studio. We head back for breakfast and gather our things for our day trip to amazing Orcas Island. Just a short ferry ride across the strait, Orcas is the largest of the San Juans and home to beautiful Moran State Park, where we will be spending a majority of our day. We drive up to Mt. Constitution for a view of the entire San Juans and then head back down to the trails for a hike or horse-back ride (optional) followed by a swim in one of the park's pristine lakes. Lunch will be picked up and brought along and dinner will be in the quaint town of Eastsound. If time allows, we will drive to Doe Bay Resort, for a relaxing dip in their outdoor hot tubs before heading to our ferry ride home.

Thursday
Morning practice followed by breakfast. Today we will meet Captain Jim at Snug Harbor Marina and board his new Glacier Bay Sport Catamaran for a whale/wildlife and island tour. Although our waters are typically calm, Jim's boat is very stable and can easily and safely handle any sea conditions that we may encounter along the way due to its twin-hull design. The trip will be intimate, as the boat will be reserved exclusively for our group and you will always have the option of indoor or outdoor seating with great photo opportunities along the way. The boat also offers a comfortable, secure and private head for your convenience. We will pickup a great lunch, complete with snacks and beverages so we will be stocked up with everything we need. That afternoon, we head back to Lakedale and relax, excited about our amazing wildlife encounters! We end the day with another fine dining experience.

Friday
Yoga or Pilates followed by breakfast. This day will be all about exploring the islands farms, beaches, vineyard and wine tasting room and walking through downtown Friday Harbor, where there will be plenty of time for shopping. We will take a morning hike and the group can choose to have lunch at a local restaurant, chosen beach, state park or mountain vista. This is our departure day. We have made some friends along the way and have many wonderful memories to take home. There will be an exchange of phone numbers and email, to share photos and stories of our journey, exploration, magic and wonders of the Pacific Northwest. In the future, we hope you will travel with us again!
